How To Host An Electronic Waste Drive

It’s As Easy As 1,2,3 … You’ll See!

Three Easy Steps:

  • 1. Pick A Time Frame/Date Range

E-Waste Drives are different from Events as this could be a day or a week or a month long. Customers have different needs and by choosing the duration it allows us to plan accordingly.

  • 2. Pick A Place

Typically your place of business is best, unless your business is located in an office park and there would be multiple businesses participating. Simply send us the address so we can get it on the calendar.

  • 3. Pick A Secure Location

With Drives, since the duration is usually longer than a day, we ask that you have a place inside your business to safely store the drop boxes. While you'll want folks to easily find the drop box, a secure location helps others feel safe about leaving their personal electronics without risk of getting them in the wrong hands.

You Promote The Drive (We’ll Help)

This will be paramount to the success of your drive. We recommend that you send your colleagues and anyone participating, emails, flyers, and any other office communication tools including strategically placed posters for reminders to promote this. We will help with producing the graphics collateral so it’s all under our brand standards, and since it’s normally a private drive, we ask you to promote within.

Acceptable Electronics

We have this listed on our website. We can also make available a printed list of things that we take and don’t take.

Donations

We always accept donations for our Computers for Kids Program, if there are folks that don’t have any e-waste to donate. As a 501 (c) (3) non -profit organization, we rely on the assistance of the community to keep our efforts moving forward. While there is not a fee for holding these E-waste Drives, there are expenses that we incur in serving, so any donation is appreciated. Check out our donation page online.
